On this day, way back in 1874, the very first Stanley Cup Championship was played. On March 22, 1874, The Montreal AAA team defeated the Ottawa Generals to have the honor of having the first trophy.
Even after 138 years, the greatest hockey teams in the world still compete for this trophy. And for those of you who do not follow hockey, take a look at what you been missing after the click.
