A little while back, we told you about a pen that could create in 3D (check it out here). Car company Local Motors took it a step further by PRINTING a drivable car!

Local Motors 3D-Printed car, the Strati, is made using a very large 3D printer. Similar to your printer at home, this printer receives information from a Local Motors computer with the design of the Strati.
Once the printed body is completed, wheels, leather seats, a engine, and a few other parts are added to the base. An average vehicle has about 5000 parts. The Strati only has 49.
